Reasons To Be Cheerful #3

It is exactly a month until I see Lady Gaga in concert for the 15th time on the Cheek To Cheek Tour with Tony Bennett!

Frozen Cupcakes

I had a late start at work today, so fancied doing a spot of baking. I picked up two cupcake kits in Iceland the other day, a Disney Princess one and a Disney Frozen one. Using these cupcake kits are definitely cheating a little bit but they are so easy to use and make great little cakes that look so cute! I'm a huge Disney fan, and for 2 kits for £2, you can't go wrong! Today I made the Frozen ones. 

The cupcake kit contains a packet of cake mix, a packet of icing sugar, ten Frozen edible paper decorations and ten cupcake cases. 

Frozen Cupcakes

A Frozen Cupcake Kit

1 medium egg

6g butter

45ml of water (and a little extra for icing)

1. Pre-heat the oven to 180•C, 350•F, Gas Mark 4 (160•C for a fan oven)

2. Whisk together the cake mix, egg, butter and water in a bowl until smooth in consistency. 

3. Evenly divide the cake mix into each cupcake case and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown. 

4. When the cakes are cool, add 1/2 teaspoon of water at a time to the icing sugar to make a paste and spread across the cupcakes. 

5. Decorate just before the icing sets

The cakes were delicious but the cupcake cases supplied in the box were all squashed, which means that I only had a couple of perfectly round cakes, not great for taking photos hence only the three shown above! Hopefully I'll have more luck with the Disney Princess cupcake kit.

An exciting Sunday...

Good morning!

I'm up early and really excited because I have such a good day ahead of me! First I'm going to the last MK Dons game of the season. I'm a big Dons fan and have been a Season Ticket holder for the last eight years. Today will decide whether Dons get automatic promotion or whether they finish third and will therefore play in the play-offs for a chance of promotion. Fingers crossed!

After that I'm off to The O2 Arena to see Olly Murs' latest tour, the Never Been Better Tour. I'm a HUGE Olly Murs fan, and this will be the thirteenth time that I've seen Olly in concert and he gets better every time I see him. Never Been Better is a great album so I know the show will be amazing tonight. I'm seeing it again on Tuesday aswell! Told you I was a big Olly fan!

Sorry for lack of posting, I've had an extremely busy week at work and just haven't had a chance to even think of anything to write!

This outfit is almost exactly the same as one I posted previously, which shows you what a boring blogger I actually am, but you know what they say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! I bought this grey suedette skirt a couple of months ago and hadn't worn it because it was a little bit big, but I've since put weight on (ugh!) and it now fits perfectly. I wore this outfit tonight to my friend and her Dad's joint birthday party which was a lot of fun. I'm hoping I'll be a bit more imaginative with my outfit posts from now on.

Extreme Rules Predictions

As I mentioned in another post, I am a HUGE wrestling fan, and so tonight I shall be staying up til 4AM to watch this month's WWE PPV, Extreme Rules. To make it more fun (and to make sure it's written down so I can't cheat!) I thought I'd blog about my predictions on who is going to win and why. 

Tyson Kidd and Cesaro v The New Day

Tag Match for the WWE Tag Team Championships

I really couldn't care less about this match, but I don't think The New Day are ready for the titles just yet. Kidd and Cesaro are establishing themselves as a strong tag team and so I can see them holding the belts for a little while longer. 

Dean Ambrose v Luke Harper

Chicago Street Fight

Luke Harper will put up a good fight, but there is no way Dean Ambrose is losing this match. He's way too over with the fans and this match is right up his street (excuse the awful pun!). 

Dolph Ziggler v Sheamus

Kiss Me Arse Match

Since Sheamus' return, they've shown him to be absolutely ruthless and unforgiving. There's no way he'd return (with a new entrance theme and dodgy hair do) to lose at his first PPV back. Also we all know that the WWE love to screw over Dolph. 

Nikki Bella v Naomi

Singles match for the WWE Divas Championship

This is the toughest match to call I think. The Bella Twins are the most popular divas at the moment, and WWE will want to continue to cash in on their popularity, so I think that Nikki will retain the title. Naomi has been looking strong in recent matches though, and a win from her would nicely set up a feud with Paige. 

Daniel Bryan v Bad News Barrett

Singles Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship

This will be the fan favourite match. I can't see Bryan losing the Championship so soon after winning it, but this match should be a good fight. Both men are over with the crowd so expect a noisy match. 

Roman Reigns v Big Show

Last Man Standing Match

If Roman wins, we riot. If Big Show wins, we riot. Reigns is going to take it but honestly this match will be the one I'm struggling to stay awake during. 

John Cena v Rusev

Russian Chain Match for the WWE United States Championship

The match I'm most looking forward to, as John Cena is my main man! Obviously I'm biased and I hate to side against my fave, so I cannot see Cena dropping the belt after just a month. However, Rusev's career will be shot if he can't regain the title tonight. 

Seth Rollins v Randy Orton

Steel Cage Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Rollins is not going to lose the title so soon after cashing in his Money In The Bank contract and winning it at Wrestlemania. The fan reaction was too great for him to drop the belt so soon. He is the most exciting WWE superstar on the roster at the minute, and with the RKO banned, Randy is definitely going home tonight empty handed. What will be intresting in this match is that Kane is the Cage Gatekeeper, meaning that only he can let people in and out of the steel cage. Is this the end of the Authority? We'll have to wait and see...

So those are my predictions. I'll have to come back at 4AM and re-read these to see how wrong I actually was!

Reasons To Be Cheerful #2

Really shouldn't have, but I just purchased a front row ringside ticket to a WWE Live event! Fingers crossed that John Cena is there, I've loved him since I was 11 years old and it would make my entire life if I met him.
